MAJESTIC THEATRE.
Four of the leading stars of the picture world'combined to make "China Seas," the'current'release at the Majestic Theatre, one of the most outstanding films of the year. Clark Gable in the role of the captain of a tramp steamer, somewhat come down in the world, plays his part perfectly, but in the opinion of many he takes second place to Jean Harlow, who portrays a very hard-boiled, young lady, somewhat outspoken in her criticisms of any other woman ,who ■ dares to come near her beloved skipper. Wallace Beery is the head of a gang of Chinese pirates, and is travelling on the boat in the disguise of a trader. Lewis Stone gives a convincing performance as a former skipper who has lost his ticket is desperately trying to make good again. The major part of the action takes place on board ship, and there are some amazing typhoon scenes. The supporting subjects are good and include a coloured travel talk showing the. beautiful Canadian mountain scenery at Banff. . , .
