BEAUTY MEASURED

PROFESSORS' POINT SYSTEM

' What is beauty? You may think it frivolous to ask this question in the sanctity of a university, but the professors don't. At least, not those 'at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology^ stated a writer in the "Cape Times."

It is their opinion that beauty can be decided on a mathematical point system. They say a woman is. only as beautiful as her total number of good points. And when they say "beautiful," they consider a number of things—skin texture, teeth, hair, health, poise, vitality.

In order to test yourself they have devised a "charm chart," You analyse yourself according to the. .rules of the chart. You give yourself points for; every qualification you can meet.; You subtract points for those you cannot It is. as simple as. that. ;

Of course, the perfect woman (but; please be honest) will score one hun-r dred per cent. Ninety is good. Eighty is fair, and seventy-five per cent, is

better than average. Like; to test your^ selfT"' :'Here:'are"?the'-rules": —' ■*■•■-""■'

Five points for good standing posture —shoulders level with each other, arms relaxed, no bulging abdomen, feet parallel and slightly apart. Deduct one point for each variation.

Two points for good seated posture, If your lower spine is against back of chair, score one point.
