The greens' were in a sodden condition for the continuation of the North Island croquet championships today. Open, singles championship, A. G. F. Ross beat H. P. Stratton, 25-26, 28-26, 26-12; Mrs. Brass beat Mrs. Watkins, 26-1, 26-24; Mrs. Pitcaithley beat Mrs. Tiffen, 26-13, 26-20; Mrs. Caldow beat Mrs. Bartlett, 13-26, 26-19, 26-19.
