THREE-YEAR CONTRACT.
Alistair Sim, the eccentric comedian who distinguishes himself in the two British Dominions releases "The Private Secretary" and "A Fire has been Arranged," has been given a threeyears' contract with the Twickenham Studios, and will be starred in screen comedies specially written to exploit his quaint humour. Alistair had never appeared in films prior to the two above-mentioned comedies, but he played for three years in Shakespearean, productions at the Old Vie, and also appeared on the stage in New York. Several London newspaper critics, when reviewing the recent pre-view of "The Private Secretary," singled out his performance for special praise.
