LIVE STOCK EMBARGO
NOT TO BE REOPENED

.--". HAMILTON, This Day. An assurance that the Government had no intention of reopening the question of lifting the embargo on imported stock was given, by the Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, when speaking at a dinner tendered him by the Farmers' Union at Hamilton on Saturday evening.
The opinion obtained -from the farmers of New Zealand, said Mr. Martin, was so definite that no good purpose would be served by reopening the question.
