OBITUARY
MRS. J. H. DUNN.
The death took place yesterday morning, after a brief illness, of Mrs. Elizabeth Dunn, Tainui Terrace. Mrs. Dunn was a niece of the late Mr. James. Moore, for many years seamen's missioner at the Port of Wellington, and spent her life ministering'to seafarers. From 1884 to 1898 she was stationed with Mr. and Mrs. Moore at various mission stations in- United Kingdom ports, and in 1898 came out to New Zealand, wTiere she became an active.worker, in the interests of seafarers at, the Seamen's Institute at Wellington. Many a young sailor had reason to have grateful recollections of the late Mrs. Dunn's motherly care and solicitude for his welfare while his ship was in port. Even with failing health in recent,years her interest in the institute remained unabated. The funeral will leave the ■ Cambridge Terrace Congregational Church tomorrow, at 2 p.m., for the Cemetery, Karori. i
