"EIGHT TO USE THE AIR"
HON. W. E. PARRY'S STATEMENT
(By Telegraph—Press- Association.) " HAMILTON, This Day. A veiled intimation that if necessary, the labour Government wogld utilise the radio broadcasting system to disseminate its opinions among the people was given by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, when speaking at a reception to the Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, at Huntly last evening.
"When we' start to put our policy into operation.it willnot be opposed by the great mass of the people but by the big daily newspapers of New Zealand," said Mr. Parry, "but there is no need to worry about this oppo^ sition, because we are better off today in presenting our policy than the Rt. Hon. R. J. Seddon ever was. . We have the freedom of the air.. If we are refused the right to tell the. people what we shall do by means of the daily papers, we shall have the right to use the air." ,
After Christmas the Labour Party would commence moulding, the legislation it promised. The party knew what it wanted and; knew how to get it. .-."...
