GIFTS TO VICTORIA COLLEGE

Two valuable gifts to the library of Victoria University were gratefully acknowledged at last night's meeting of the college council. The first of these was a set of thirty-four hand-somely-bound volumes of the Historical Records of Australia, and eight volumes of the Historical Records of New South Wales, presented by the Commonwealth Government. The second gift comprised a complete set of twenty-five maps published by Hemrich Kiepert, presented by Professor Rankina Brown. These maps were stated to be the greatest works of their kind in existence, and would have cost a large' sum to purchase.
