The butter market is-ftrmer.- Danish 126s per cwt; choicest salted New Zealand, 89s; Australian, 88s; unsalted New Zealand, 98s; Australian, 84s to 85s. The cheese market reports New" Zealand, white 55s per cwt; Australian, white, 52s to 535; coloured, New Zealand 60s, Australian 56s to 575.
A. J. Mills and Co., London, December 19, give the following market prices as y ruling at the close of business yesterday:—Butter, market is firm. New Zealand, finest 88s to 89s, firsts 87s to 88s; Aust»alian, choicest 87s to 88s first grade 86s to 87s; Danish, spot 1265, f.p.b. 106s. Cheese, market is firm. New Zealand, white 54s to 555,' coloured 58s to 595; Canadian, white 56s to 58s, coloured 58s to 60s.
Joseph Nathan and Company, Ltd., have received from their principals, Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cable advice, dated December 19: —New Zealand butter, 89s to 90s per cwt. New Zealand cheese, white 55s to 56s per cwt, coloured 60s. Both markets are very firm.
