UNCONTROLLED DOGS

Sir, —In your issue of the 9th inst. "Christianity" is very sore over someone laying poison to kill the dogs of Eastbourne. Well, believe me, the dogs are a nuisance in this borough. Near my home in the sandhills it is a common sight to see eight or nine dogs fighting, barking, and tearing round with no regard for people's property or feelings. My garden has suffered, as no doubt others have. My daughter and I are nervous of dogs, so you can. understand how very little pleasure we derive from a walk on a beach overrun with dogs. If people love their dogs why not keep them under restraint?—l am, etc.,
