The New York Police Department, suiting action to its pledge to assist the city anti-noise campaign, recentlyannounced that 400 of its horses used in traffic work ware to be shod with rubber shoes. Tests made for the last month have shown that such: equipment, besides being noiseless, iis nonskid and wears longer than the timehonoured iron shoes.
