ADVICE TO ATHLETES
BROADCASTS SUGGESTED
An inquiry. as to whether those.giving talks to Wellington athletes under I the Wellington Centre's .. coaching scheme could not extend the scope: pi their . addresses through the medium of 2YA was made by Mr. C. R. White,of Wanganui, in a letter read at the meeting of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association last night. Mr. White said he felt that if this could be arranged it would, j mark- a forward step and one that would be hailed- with approval by athletes' generally.
As an alternative, and for a commencement, Mr. White . suggested a series of prepared talks from each of tire national broadcasting stations, the compilation. of the talks to be under-: taken by experts and the broadcasts to be" made in the name of the N.Z.A.A.A.'
Messrs. W. F. Ingram .and A. L. Stevens were appointed to go into the suggestions.
