COMING TO THE PLAZA.
'The Gay Deception."
The adventures and escapades of two light-hearted youngsters who look for thrills and find glorious romance constitute the story of Fox Film's comedy romance, "The Gay Deception," which comes to the Plaza Theatre on Friday, and stars handsome Francis Lederer with lovely Frances Dee. Directed by William Wyler for Producer Jesse Lasky, the picture throws these two romantics together in the sophisticated atmosphere of an ultraluxurious hotel where most of the comedy incidents occur. The two most interesting people in the hotel are Miss Dee, a little country, girl spending the proceeds of a sweepstake prize in grand manner, and Francis Lederer, a, European prince posing as a bellboy. These two are drawn together by love. As the climax approaches Lederer emerges as his true self and is. arrested as an impostor. And then the picture proceeds merrily to its close in which all the complications are cleared up and the-lovers re.ioined. "The Gay Deception" can be acclaimed one of the best romantic comedies to be brought to .the screen for many a day. Its sparkling, light-hearted character is refreshing to a degree that is allabsorbing. .
