SAVED FROM BLINDNESS
Fiva years ago a girl of five, living at Bedfont, Middlesex, was .threatened with blindness. Her , parents—too poor to pay for treatment—sent her to the Central London Ophthalmic Hospital, where an operation saved the child's eyesight. Recently the same little girl listened to the appeal broadcast on behalf of the hospital by Sir lan Fraser, the blind MJK By running errands she had earned three shillings. Remembering her parents' oftrepeated gratitude, she sent her three shillings to the hospital instead of spending it on herself.
