EXPORT OF FRUIT
OTAGO'S POSITION
(By Telegraph.) (Special to the "Evening Post") DUNEDIN, This Day.
During the 1935 season Otago exported 138,915 cases of fruit. At the twelfth annual meeting of the' Otago Provincial Fruitgrowers' Council the chairman said it was gratifying to note that the season's export from Otago had brought payable prices in the United Kingdom and elsewhere, and it was hoped that similar market conditions would prevail in the coming seasons and so enable growers to establish themselves firmly after the serious frosts and disastrous marketing losses recently experienced.
_ Sir Percy Sargood referred to thf improvement in conditions at Home and said this would no doubt be re^ fleeted in realisations of produce marketed there in the coming season.
