SUMMER IN EARNEST
YESTERDAY IN SOUTHLAND
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, This Day.
The thermometer registered 81 degrees in the shade yesterday, the highest temperature this summer. Steady, warm rain during the night will greatly benefit pastures after the long dry spell.
The weather is perfect for People's Day at the Southland Show and there is a great influx from the country.
