BRABIN SHIELD TEAM
SELECTION ANNOUNCED
The Wellington junior representative cricket team to meet Canterbury's junior team in the annual Brabin Shield match has been selected as follows:—G. Whyte, K. Young, R. Bush, and R. Boyes (Wellington College Old Boys); J. Potier (Wellington); R. McLean (Institute); H. Lubransky and Hatchard (Kilbirnie); Gwilliam (Hutt); W. Dwyer (Technical); and Crawford (Midland). The team, with Mr. J. Couchman as manager, will leave Wellington for the south on December 26, and before meeting Canterbury vat Christchurch on January 1 and 2 matches will be played at Ashburton and Timaru. , Canterbury and Wellington have each held the shield .six times, Wellington being the present holders. Mr. Brabin has had the trophy enlarged, twenty new plates having been added to those already inscribed on it.
