FINAL CLUB NIGHT
BUSINESS GIRLS* LYCEUM
'..-The, final regular,club meeting for the year took place, in the Y.W.CA. Business Girls' Lyceum last night, with a good attendance of members. The Christmas present-making circle held its busy hour at the commencement of the programme, after which Miss Lillian Dick (president of the Lyceum) announced the winners of the competitions which have been held throughout the year. These have included miniature gardens, child's cotton frock, soft toy, worked guest'towel, sponge cake, - shortbread, fudge, wrapped Christmas gift. The total highest pdints were received.by Miss.Joyce Hodsou, who was presented with a little silver cup by Miss R. Cade (ex-president of the Lyceum). Miss K. Beck was runner-up, with Miss M. Whitworth in third place.' The president commented on the high standard of work in1 the various sections, and reminded members of the Nature collections to be mad? during ,the holiday season. The Lyceum has been active in making.the big-Christmas, cake for the combined Y.W.C.A. Christmas break-up, which will be held next Tuesday, and a number of members are attending the holiday camp at .the Sounds.
