SEATOUN BRANCH
The annual meeting was held recently of the Seatoun branch of the Women's National Reserve, there being a good attendance. • ' Mrs. Porter presided, and welcomed Miss Freeman, it being the first meeting that Miss Freeman had attended since her illness in 1934. Mrs. Porter spoke of the good work being done at the nursery and the need for support, and congratulated the members of the Seatoun- branch on its splendid work for the year. Mrs. Porter was accorded a vote of thanks, and was presented with a beautiful posy of roses. Mrs. Pycroft, Mrs. Lancaster, and Mrs. pownes also received posies. Mrs. Gardiner was thanked for the use of her house, where .the meetings were held each month. Mrs. Pycroft resigned, owing to having other duties to fulfil. The officers elected were:—Vice-pre-sidents, Miss Freeman, Mrs. Pycroft, and Mrs. Gardiner; secretary, Mrs. Lancaster; treasurer, Mrs. Downes; committee, Mrs. Clapperton, Mrs. Tombs, Mrs. Woodley, Mrs. Higgins, and Mrs. Arkus. Tea was served.
