SOCIAL CREDIT

DELAY IN ALBERTA

WAGE AND SALES TAXATION

(Received December 4, 2 p.m.)

EDMONTON (Alberta), Dec. 3.

The Social Credit Government Taxation Inquiry Committee is recommending a 1 per cent, wage and 1 per cent, sales tax.

The Premier, Mr. Aberhart, meets protests against delay in the paying of 25 dollars a month dividend with the statement that the Government will not be rushed. The dividend will not be paid until some time after Major Douglas has visited Alberta to lay down a plan. Declaring that critical times are ahead, Mr. Aberhart urges prayer on the part of the people of Alberta.
