PARIS, December 3,
Large crowds gathered outside the Chamber of Deputies before the opening oi the debate on Fascist leagues.
M. Ramette, a Communist, who opened the debate, accused the Premier (M. Laval) of connivance at the activities of the Croix de Feu, which seemed to be in a state of permanent mobilisation. He alleged that the Croix de Feu deliberately planned the February riots.
M. Laval entered the Chamber when the debate was beginning to warm up, and heard members of the • Left chanting, "Resign, resign." The cries were directed at the Minister of Justice, and followed the reading of a cutting from a Fascist League news sheet advising the shooting of members of the Front Populaire (composed of Socialists and Communists). SUSPENDED IN DISORDER. The debate was suspended prematurely in the afternoon owing to disorder created by a speech by a Radical Socialist, M. Ruc'art, in which, addressing M. Laval, he said: "You have given the impression that you no longer have any strength against armed leagues."
This led to tumultuous scenes. The Speaker became involved in the argument, ringing his bell and himself joining in the shouting. Finally he suspended the sitting.
