; . Tne annual meeting of the KelburnNorthland branch of the Women's National Reserve was held recently at the residence of Mrs. Hargreaves, Glenmore Street. T'le president tMrs. W. N. Waugh) reported that as the result of the untiring efforts of an enthusiastic comniittee the year had been a most successful one. The branch had been able to make substantial contributions towards the upkeep of the Residential Nursery in Owen Street and had rendered other valuable service Mrs. F. Porter, the Wellington Disbtrict President, outlined the origin of the Reserve and described the activities of its various branches. Officers appointed for the ensuing year were as followsr-President, Mrs. W. N. Waugh; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Parkinson; vice-presidents, Mesdames Hargreaves, Mulligan, Preston, and Priestley.
