CRICKET TOUR STARTS
AUSTRALIANS IN INDIA

RAJKOT, November 5.
The Australian cricket team began the first match of its Indian tour today against West India States at Rajkot. The weather was bright and pleasant, and 5000 were present, including a number of the ruling princes of Western India and their families. West India, in their first innings, made 154 (Gurtu 25, Faizahmad 25, Narsingrao 22). Five wickets fell for 28 after lunch. .Oxenham took five wickets for 40 rims, and Mair four for 63.
Australia, in their first innings, have made 96 for six wickets (Wendel Bill 29, Hendry 13. Bryant 16, Allsopp 20).
