ELECTION CAMPAIGN
OPPOSITION LEAD ER STATES POLICY
A feature of the speeches made in the General Election campaign last evening was the explanation of the Labour policy given in the Town Hall by the Leader of the Labour; Party (Mr. M. J. Savage).- Mr.-Savage, who received a most enthusiastic reception from a crowded audience, spoke for two hours, during which time he not only outlined Labour's proposals but also severely criticised thepolicyof the Government. National, Democrat, and Independent candidates for the various Wellington seats also continued their campaigns last evening.
