HEALTH CAMPAIGN
STREET DAY TOMORROW
Opportunity for the. public to make direct contributions to the Health Stamp Fund will be afforded tomorrow, when a general street collection will be held. Every contributor will receive a badge, irrespective of the amount of the contribution. A feature' of the day will be a procession of. several lorries conveying a band, a number of children at play, a pet lamb, and a team of child acrobats from a local gymnasium. The pet lamb, which has been on loan to a kindergarten, has been presented by a sympathetic farmer, and the person who guesses the correct weigh! of the lamb i may have the animal or its value, £2. . .
The procession will parade the principal • streets between 12 and 2 p.m., departing from'the Post Office Square about 12.30 p.m. The band will visit the outer suburbs in the morning and in the afternoon.
With, the general "Help the Children" spirit now prevailing, it is anticipated that several hundreds of Wellington children will have reason to-be grateful to those contributing to the fund tomorrow.
