CHINESE DOLLAR
STABILISATION MOTE
GOVERNMENT NOTES AS LEGAL TENDER
SHANGHAI, November 4,
In order to conserve currency reserves, the Government has established Government bank-notes as legal tender. They will gradually supersede all others. Bank reserves ■will be under [Unified control, and all holders of silver must exchange it for legal tender notes.
The Chinese dollar is being stabilised at the present level. The Central Bank will be reorganised as a central reserve bank owned by the banks and the public. It will not undertake' general commercial business.
