IMPORTANT MEETINGS
1 The annual meeting of the Board of Theological Studies of the Anglican Church is being held at the Wellington Diocesan Library today. The board is the authority which issues theological degrees to candidates who have satisfied the examiners in theology. In addition to the meeting of the Board of Theological Studies, meetings of the Anglican Board of Missions and of the Standing Committee of the 'General Synod are also .to be held during today and tomorrow. The. annual service of the Board of Missions will take place ■ in' St. Peter's 'Church, Willis Street, tomorrow night". The preacher will be the Rt. Rev. Dr. Hilliard, Bishop of Nelson. ■ •
The bishops 'attending the meetings are Archbishop A. W. Averill (Auckland), Bishop T. H. Sprott (Wellington), Bishop' A. C. Cherrington (Waikato), Bishop C. West-Watson (Christchurch), Bishop H. W. Williams (Waiapu), Bishop W. A. R. Fitchett (Dunedin), and Bishop W. J. Hilliard (Nelson). In. addition to the Bishops, a number of members of the several boards, both clergy and lay, have arrived in Wellington to take part in the conferences.
