PLUNKET SOCIETY DANCE
A very, enjoyable social evening was held/recently by the Kilbu-nie-Lyall Bay branch of .the Plunket Society at "Langley,"; Lyall Bay, the. residence of Captain and Mrs. Prosser.
A large number of guests was present, and'-dancing was continued to a late hour. The rooms '', were beautifully decorated with , japonica, narcissi;- and Christmas :Voses, which. were brought from JPicton specially for the occasion. A competition held during the evening was won by Mr. and I/Irs. Leslie Jones. The committee was much" indebted.to the members of the "Revellers" Orchestra, who did much to ; make the evening such a success, also I .to Mr. Toop for his assistance. ..After, a /dainty supper had been served, Mrs. Downie^on -behalf of the committee,;thanked Captain and Mrs. Prosser for their kindness in allowing the use of their .residence for the evenling. ■•■ ■...-,■ ,:."...• ~-.•■■:;'
