SOUTHLAND FARMERS
The thirty-fourth annual report of the Southland Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., states: The net profit for the year amounts to £5601 8s 9d, and to this amount has been,added £3443 12s 7d brought forward from the previous year, making an available total of £9045 Is 4d, less final dividend paid September, *934, and interim dividend paid February, 1935, £42007-^Bl £4845 Is 4d, less £133 17s Id paid to Income^ Tax Department— total £4711 4s 3d. The reserve for income tax is £1410, leaving £3301 4s 3d. The directors propose to allocate £2100 in payment of a dividend .on deposit preference shares at the rate of 7 per cent., less 20 per cent, per annum for the half-year ended July 31, 1935, leaving a balance of £1201 4s 3d to be carried forward.
