CHILDREN'S LUCKY ESCAPE
But for an electric light pole in We! lington Eoad, Kilbirnie, two youn children might have been seriously ir jured yesterday afternoon. A moto] car swung out of Moxham Avenue an crashed into a pole bearing power-line: snapping it off about five feet from' th base. The children were standing in mediately behind the pole, and a though it broke off it brought the ca to a standstill. The power was cut off from fou houses, but the service was restore before nightfall. The driver of the car suffered sligf abrasions.
