The trading expentiitarer-yvas approximately- £400: lower but ;against thfe • there would-require to -be .a. substantial amount transferred to the omnibus department for ' hire of • buses. However, even allowing'for. this 'there was still' a very -marked 'improvement on "the past year's results. jThe/Cobar was now back in normal running and would appear, to be in first-class order. The full charges for boiler, renewal had not yet been taken to accpunt but as these were being charged against the renewal funds) the trading results for the' year' would not be affected. . iln the omnibus department' the traffic revenue for the month again showed an. increase of £55 as compared with the corresponding month- last year and .the.total was now approximately £220 higher. In addition to this there still remained the transfer from the. ferry department for. hire" of buses during the extended ferry overhaul, period. The trading expenditure for the period was somewhat-higher than ior the corresponding period but the net results were substantially-better.
