SOUTH AUCKLAND TITLES

TE AROHA, This Day.
The South Auckland amateur boxing championships were held at Te Aroha last evening. There were 40 contestants' "in six' events.'
The ' finals resulted:—Lightweight (9st 91b): G. Cooke (Auckland) defeated R. Johansen (Morrinsville). Lightweight (9st 121b): Terry Starnes (Hamilton) beat Angus White (Waharoa). Flyweight: Ray Kriock (Te Kuiti) defeated G. Worth (Auckland). Welterweight: C. Farmer. (Waharoa) defeated L. Dennett (Hamilton). Heavyweight (12st 91b): H. Hepburn (Te Aroha) defeated W. Payne (Waharoa). Heavyweight (any weight): Hepburn defeated Payne in two rounds.
