LOUQSOR MAIZES AMENDS
} v Although failing to do better than third in the Grand Prix de Paris, Louqsor made some atonement for his owner (Princesse de Faucigny Lucinge) in the Prix dir President de la Republique at .Saint, Cloud a week later. The Princess gained first and third places with Louqsor and Pingponp. the horse separating them being the • English Guineas winner Mesa.
Admiral Drake, winner of last year's Grand Prix, made a great effort at the distance, but could not maintain the pace. Mesa, in the centre of the field, then took up the running until Louqsor came along on the rails to gain a merited victory. The Italian crack Partenio, winner of the Grand Prix of Milan and' the Grand Prix of Marseilles, was unplaced. '
