Mr. H. R.Sellers, secretary: to the New Zealand Racing Conference, has been unable to make the trip south to the Grand National Meeting thisiyear. The. Westland Racing Club has 'been granted permission to drop its oneday meeting scheduled for April 15, and it will now add the day to the Christmas Meeting, which will, be a three-day fixture, on December 26, 28, and'3o. ■ . —
The Otaki Maori Racing Club and the Napier Park Racing Club have agreed to interchange their spring dates, and this has been allowed by the Racing Conference; Otaki will now race on September 28. (instead of October 5), and Napier will race on October 5 (instead of September 28). : Mr. F. J. McManemin, handicapper to the Auckland Racing Club, returned by the Mariposa last week, after a brief visit to the United States.
A private message from Melbourne states that K. Voitre intends leaving for England, despite his great success in Australia, says a Dunedin writer. The letter adds that Voitre's success has resulted in other riders paying rather more attention to his mounts than to their own.
