RECENT DANCE
A delightful dance was held recently in aid of the candidature of Miss Joan Morgan, who is representing the Wellington North district, for the Rev. Fielden Taylor's "Jubilee Fair" in September. It was a most enjoyable gathering and everyone is looking forward to the next dance to be held in two or three weeks' time. A clever tapping dance duo, the feature of the evening, was given by the Misses Joan and Alice Warner, pupils of Miss Phyllis Oliver. A good orchestra, and supper of hot savouries, etc., helped to make the evening a great success.
Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. R. Hayes, Mr. and Mrs. P. P. Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. J. MacKeowen, Mrs. P. Aston, Mr. and Mrs. N. Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Robb, Mrs. Galloway, and Mr. Gus Jones (who very ably assisted ,as ■ M.C.),. .Misses J. Morgan, N. Webb, I. McKnee, I. Sawyer, . O. Clarke. F. Webb, and Messrs. G. Richards, P., Costello, J. Hanley, X.' Barrett, W. Armstrong, Honare (2), Tibbitts, and many others.
