The sum of £8 10s has been collected by Councillor W. H. Edwards, Petone's representative on the Free Ambulance Board, from the residents of the borough towards the ambulance funds,-, and a letter of thanks from the superintendent (Mr. F. Roffe) was read by Mr. Edwards at last evening's meeting of the council. .'-.".;
