ROYAL LIMOND SCHOOLED

Although yesterday morning's track work at Riccarton was only of the useful pacing order, a couple of jumpers provided variety. They were Mr. A. Symes's pair, Royal Limond and Heather Glow, and the owner was out to see them schooled.

It was expected that Royal Limond would have a couple of mates, but the other trainers changed their plans, so that he went by himself. Ridden by. D. O'Connor, he cleared the first fence at the back in good styje but he ran off at the sod wall. When taken back he jumped it well, and then went on to complete two circuits. He was a trifle careful at the sod wall .the next time, though he went at it straight,, and otherwise he gave a fine exhibition. . . ■ .

Heather Glow (R. Drinkwater) jumped twice over the two pony hurdles. " He. went at the obstacles with plenty of dash, getting in a trifle close, but he cleared them without any trouble, and with experience he should make a capable jumper.
