LONDON WOOL SALES.
The Bank of New South Wales is in receipt of the following cable message from its London office, dated July 9:— London wool sales: Merino, 10 per cent, to 15 per cent., fine, 10 per cent.; medium and coarse, 1\ per cent.; slipe, 5 per cent, higher than last sales close. Average or estimated prices of New Zeaalnd greasy fleece ordinary topmaking wools.—Fine halfbred, 56-58, lljd per lb; halfbred, 50-56, lOd; threequarterbred, 48-50, Bijd; fine crossbred, 46-48, 7£d; medium crossbred, 44-46, 7d; crossbred, 40-44, 63d.
The New Zealand Farmers' Co-op. Distributing Company's London office, July 9, cables:—Wool sales opened. Good attendance and competition. Prices, compared with close of last series: Merinos, greasy, 15 per cent., scoured 5 per cent.; crossbreds, greasy, fine, 10 per cent.; medium and coarse, 5 per cent, to 7£ per cent., scoureds 5 per cent., slipes p"ar to 5 per cent., all up. Quantity available, 131,500 bales.
The Bank of Australasia is in receipt of the following cable, dated London, July 9, from Balme and Thomas, woolbrokers:—London colonial wool sales: Merinos 15 per cent, dearer, fine crossbreds 10 per cent, dearer, medium crossbreds. coarse crossbreds, 5 to 71 per cent, dearer, slipe par to 5 per cent, dearer, above last series' closing rates.
