The Eev. Clyde Carr, M.P., left for the south last night. The Hnn. J. Bitchener, Minister .of Public Works, arrived this morning from the south. Dr. E. L. Marchant returned from Australia this morning, via Auckland. Messrs. R. A- McDowell and'T. J. Gulhrie, of the Oamaru Harbour Board, were passengers this morning from the south. Mr. A. B. Lane, manager' of the United Press Association, accompanied by Mrs. Lane, returned to Wellington this morning irom^the south. Mr. P. R. Climie arrived from the south this morning.
