FROZEN LAMB MARKET

The frozen lamb market in London is very firm, especially for prime quality, according to the weekly cabled report received by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. Consumption continues to be satisfactory. The market for wether mutton is quiet and unchanged. Trade in ewe mutton is slow. The beef market is demoralised by heavy supplies of chilled beef and by hot weather. Owing to the hot weather there is little inquiry for New Zealand porker pigs. The market for baconers is steady and unchanged.
