(By; Telegraph.)' (Special to the "Evening; Post.") DUNEDIN, This Dayl * The; retirement of Mr. A. R. Mclvor, as starter for racing clubs in the south is announced. '; After following the profession of trainer and jockey for a number of years and'being successful at both Mr. Mclvor handed in his licences on account of health relsons nearly twenty years ago. As a trainer he on several occasions headed the list in the Southland district, and during his career he had many good horses in his stable, including The Earl, Office Gir], Black Friar,. Eleus,..■ Listening Post, , JBuller. Mohawk, Manazona, and Waiju. As a horseman he had no superior in the south, and having graduated from the hunting field he was as equally at home over fences as on the flat. I
