WEATHER STILL SQUALLY

(Special from "Early Bird.") AUCKLAND, This Day. Up till last night the weather continued to be very squally, the rain showers being heavy, so that the going at Alexandra Park tomorrow for the postponed concluding day of the Auckland Trotting Club's Winter Meeting will again be very heavy. The prospects therefore should not greatly differ from those published earlier in the week, for the form disclosed ought to be repeated tomorrow with similar track conditions. One trainer brought his horses from the country on Wednesday morning, not having heard of the postponement, but he stayed to give his charges a thorough work-out. All the visiting horses; have remained here and so there should not'be many withdrawals on Saturday. Now that trainer C. G. Smith has only one horse, Chancellor, engaged in the big event tomorrow, he will take this drive himself. Chancellor finished third in the Adams Cup last week and he promises to start a solid favourite in the Mark Memorial. The 75-25 per cent, win totalisator and the place totalisator will be in operation, as on the opening day. - Form horses are the following:— 11.37: Royal Handicap (for trotters). —Captain Bolt, Worthy Nor, Audo Patch. 12.22: Manukau Handicap.—Our McKinney, Nelson Luvan, Great Chimi 1.7: Mark Memorial. —Chancellor, Bingen Chief, Great Logan. 1.52: Members' Handicap (for trotters).—Great Admiral, Kumi, Ana Parrish. - ■ • ■ ■ 2.37: June Handicap.—Bismuth, Our McKinney, Bonny Azure. 3.22:' Prince of Wales Handicap.— Prince Pedro, Wee Machine, Bingen Chief or Nimbus. 4.7: Liverpool Handicap.—King's Warrior-Rare Rey bracket, Supertax, Kewpie's Bond
