ACTIVE ASSISTANCE
MOVE MADE IN DUNEDIN
(By Telegraph.) (Special to the "Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. The desire of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce to take an active part in the rehabilitation of ex-soldiers who are suffering from war disabilities is reflected in the following resolutions, which were passed at a meeting of the chamber:— "That the chamber offers its assistance to the Returned Soldiers' Association1 and the Soldiers' Civil Reestablishment League in the work they are carrying on." "That the executive convene a meeting of representatives of all organisations iri the city who can assist in the work to consider in what way such assistance can be given." Members were emphatic that it was now practically impossible for some of the soldiers to learn trades and be placed alongside their fellow-men, but with assistance there was no doubt that something could be done to help them. The business community had done very well in the nest in the mailer oX absorbing ex-servicemen info employment *
