LONDON'S FIRST STATION

RUGBY, June 6,
London's first television station will be situated at Alexandra Palace, North London, 306 ft above sea level, and a 300 ft mast will be erected. The combined height,, it is considered, should enable a high definition television service to be provided for the London area. '
The Baird and Marconi Television Companies have been invited to tender for the necessary apparatus. Vision signals will be radiated on about 6.6 metres and associated sound signals on 7.2 metre's.
