STATION MANAGER'S SUICIDE

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
At the inquest concerning the death of Andrew Sim McLay, a station manager, a verdict of suicide was returned. McLay was found dead in a garage at Dallington on May 9, two days before the day of his marriage. The cause was a bullet wound in the head. Evidence was given that the deceased had been rational beforehand, and had been staying at his fiancee's home., He had no financial worries and was in good 'health. No explanation could be offered for his action. He had been employed at Mount Stewart, Waiau.
