THE TWO "CLUBS"

Despite frequent explanations there seems to be still.some confusion as to the identity of the two clubs which recently came into prominence in con* nection with wrestling matters. The National Sporting Club (Incorp.) is a Wellington promoting body associated with the Winter Show Association. The Pioneer Athletic, Club of; New Zealand is not a promoting body. Its stable objects are to arrange for a supply of independent wrestlers in order that competitive wrestling may be assured. No boycott either of any other wrestler or any wrestling association was contemplated by.the'club.

Sam Burmister :(Australia), "who is in New Zealand, complains that he is not being allotted matches with the American wrestlers. Burmister-holds to his credit a victory over Cy Williams (disqualified) and King Elliott.

An application for a permit for Cy. Williams to wrestle in Wellington has been held up in the meantime and his behaviour at other, centres^ "wil^ be watched with a view to deciding whether he should be allowed to wrestle here in the future.
