BOYS' GAMES

APPEAL FOR HELPERS

Matches were to have begun yester day in the primary schools compett I tions, the boys being catered for in two distinct competitions for the eastern suburbs and the central area. AU the grounds under the auspices of the association will be engaged*, on Friday afternoons from 3 o'clock with matches, and an urgent appeal is being;made on behalf of the school authorities for the refereeing of these games.''Those desirous of doing so are asked to be present at any of the association grounds on Friday afternoons. Although all the teams entered in the boys' competitions are in charge of a coach, or somebody who takes the responsibility of looking- after the teams, there is no doubt that if there were twenty more men who would be prepared to undertake this", job (and it is no mean job looking after a team of boys) twenty, more .teams could be provided. This would be a decided acquisition to the game.
