The Stokes Valley League ot Mothers' circle held its usual fiieeting recently, Mrs. Cording presiding.'."
A short, talk was given by Mrs. Djiwson (Dominion secretary) on the aims and ideals of the league, which are definitely laid down as non-ppHtical and as dealing with home problems^'
A humorous sketch, |.'The. Breakfast Table," by Mrs. Payne and Itti?s Young was greatly enjoyed; as also were two items by the Alicetown Glee Club, conducted by Mrs.. Gibson Youngi.and accompanied by Mrs. Moye,; A reading by Mrs. Dawsoni "Your Daughter," a reprint of a broadcast talk, by Dr. Elizabeth Bryson, was followed with close attention and appreciation. Mrs. Rait then sang "There is a Land," Mrs.'Cording playing the' accompaniment.' ... ' " v.;*. v . ;. '

Mrs. Gibson young,. was, presented with,, a charming posy, in recognition of past services iri connection .with'the formation of the, circle and its.subsequent working, a beautifully-arranged bouquet being presented to Mrs. Dawson also, and pre,tty sprays to ■ Mwdames Payne, '. Rait, "Combe, and-Miss Young. The flower work,-which was greatly admired, was" done by "Mrs. Petherick, a committee member. : '
