Au intense depression is crossing the Dominion, its centre this morning being located to the south-east where barometers are extremely low. Moderate south-westerlies predominated yesterday, but since last night winOs have become westerly generally, and strong over most of the Dominion. Some scattered showers occurred in the far north and south yesterday, but otherwise the weather was fair to fine. Since last night, however, rain has extended to most districts with a westerly aspect, fairly heavy falls having occurred at a few places. In eastern districts it was still fine this morning.
