In recognition of the Stimulus givto ito hockey m the Manawatu district as a result of the Indian team's visit, and in. sympathy with the Baluchistan earthquake sufferers, the Mariawatu Hock§y Association has donated. five guineas to the earthquake relief fund. The receipts at the recent hockey match India versus Manawatu totalled £620, The, association expects to clear £410 profit, including £250 insurance against rain. The association set up a committee to investigate the possibility of joining with other associations in order to bring professional coaches from India or England to improve the game in the Dominion, . i
